Arm processors aren't that powerful for the ghz, and the wii u's processor is dedicated to games, so despite the numbers I'd imagine the wii u is still far better and will be for some time.
The wii u gamepads resolution is fine for the purpose. If they released a higher quality gamepad they only need improve the quality and vividness of the screen.
Currently I find the shield a very tempting product. Not the same category as the Wii U but yet another product to slowly eat at nintendos market.
