I've convinced my friend to buy a Wii U mainly if not only for the screen to be next to his computer when he is playing league. He does enjoy it and think the most important part of the console is co-op.
But in all honesty I think the mass market hasn't jumped on board yet because of the similarity's of last gen doesn't interest most to spend hundreds of bucks. I mean one of the most common points of why the wii u was/is failing sales wise is because of the dumb name. Same with xbox, but PS4 has a different spin because every playstation sells well when it is not demanding something unreasonable (599 U.S dollars). The PS4 does not necessarily have to appeal to the mass market as it has it's fans to back it up.
Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.
