Thus, first parties aren't enough to save WiiU.

This is possibly the worst time to be claiming that. Mario Kart seems to have increased baseline sales to ~60k as it's still seliing in that range over a month after MK8's release. Public opinion of the machine has changed greatly because of MK8 and the exclusives they showed at E3. At the moment, Nintendo has possibly the most impressive holiday lineup this holiday season. They've also been showing a complete mastery of marketing for Smash, their biggest holiday title.

Then there's the amiibo. Even if you don't like it and it doesn't take off as it looks like it's going to, it can still do one thing. It can renew interest in Mario Kart 8, essentially giving it a second release due to people wanting to see how amiibo affects it.

no it isn't! 50k baseline is not good! The only reason why people are happy with this is because WiiU was even worse!(30k last year)

If mario kart that is the biggest release this year on WiiU didn't make it sell 100k/week,do you really think Hyrule warrior or bayonetta will do?

Smash brothers will be released first on 3ds so don't count with this too.

I completly think that hyrule wariors and bayonetta will increase the baseline.

First of all games dont desapear over time, so in the long run they add up to form a a bigger interest point when buying a console. Maybe Bayonetta is not enough to make me want a wii u, but maybe bayonetta 1+2 has a biger pull, if not, maybe mario kar pluss bayoneta plus hyrule wariors does and so on and so on. Since nintendo games end up the higest rated games always, people loose interest in them a lot slower than they do for thir party multyplats that after a month they drop of the face of the earth and nobody even mntiones them. So yeah all thouse games will slowly increase the baseline of the console.

The critics already had a wack at this and said that playing smash on the 3ds is to small and the best experience is on the big screen, so I dont think people will choose the 3ds over the wii u, the 3ds will still do great but wont steal the spotlight.

And dont forget that consoles sell more over the hollidays than they do over the entre year. With this holliday line up wich was voted by many big gaming sites that the best e3 was from nintendo and have a great line up, the holliday will be amasing. The only reason I might think the wii u will do better than the ps4 is because the ps4 is selling so well there is not stock left for the hoolidays and sony cant seem to produce that much. Much like last year with the x1 beatint it just beacause of stock problems. I still think the ps4 will dominate all and it wont even be close but I belive the wii u will do very well.

Another thin you seem to forget about the times the ps2 killed it like it did, is that at that time it was unlikely that people had multiple consoles. This time around is almost the norm to have at least 2, not from the start obviously but eventually after the ps4 kills it, a lot of them will want another, and by then the prices will go down and the exclusive games in them increase people will go a get their second consoles and I belive this is when the wii u will shine. Wii u is such a vaslty diferent experience than the other 2 that I dont think people will wait that long to get their hands on the second console. This is the main reason I dont see any of the big 3 failing and nintendo to do good.
