Why no bread and butter competitive mode where everyone on equal footing?

because a rarer gun while being the same type aa less rare,  lower spec guns,  have higher damage. 

 

A normal jigoku sr1 has about 22dmg, where an uncommon jigoku sr3 has 62dmg

 

level disadvantages bring disabled only effects defence,  nullifying the equipment advantages,  weapons on the other hand.. 

Are you sure?  Im pretty sure i read somewhere that they evened out weapon damage multiplayer mode... Sounds like he was just getting his head shot off to me...

my sr3 kills people faster than my sr in multiplayer.

by even out they are probably reffering to the fact the maximum usable weapons damage for any type/class is 62
