Weeeeell... suppose if we're to find a silver lining, at least Microsoft'll probably have a reason to put on their bragging shoes next quarterly report; 'Our Xbox One sales have gone up x percent since the last report! Victoryyyy!' Basically, the same sort of thing that happened prior to June's NPD. Depending on if the PS4 outsells them next quarter, however, we're prooobably not going to be seeing any solid numbers then either. o.o Kind of a miracle anyone can keep track of anything with regards to sales, when the companies with the most reliable numbers find so many ways to hide them.

I have to admit, though, I am reeeeeally curious to hear what Sony's numbers are, and hopefully they'll provide sold-to-customer figures, and not just moved-to-retailer.

On another note, I wonder how much of the Kinect-less SKU was produced in-factory to provide the necessary supply, and how many units were just older, re-packaged Xbox Ones with the Kinects removed. Considering there was apparently a build-up of stock, makes sense that they'd just repurpose the bulk of their existing stock, rather than spend even more money building new consoles.

...it would also mean they have a whole pile of Kinects lying around somewhere just waiting to be packaged and sold. xD
