1. The ps4 has no games: *slight edit for more accuracy*

I have read this phrase countless times here on vgchartz. What are people playing on this machine? Could it be games? Nah that is too obvious, no one seems to know why people are buying ps4s, but ps4s are being sold regardless. In this day people think exclusives  are the only games to play, but what about 3rd party, those are games right? I mean the majority of games I play are 3rd party games. So I guess that question is answered. Now if you want to talk exclusives then let me talk exclusives. Sony does not drop 1st party support years before their next console is even announced or when it is announced. People decide to forget that Sony unlike Nintendo and MS support their consoles when they are not in their prime, at the end of their cycle and even after their sucessors are out. Last year we got games like ni no kuni, beyond two souls, puppeteer, God of war, and GOTG TLoU. And we will continue to get 1st party games for probably one more year on ps3. The ps4 has no games that YOU don't like, or decide not to try out.

2. The ps4 is losing steam/The gap is closing in sales:

For this one I will use a fresh out the oven example. June NPD came out and all consoles did pretty good considering it is the summer and sales tend to be slow during this period of time. However that pretty good, that one piece of good month sales was enough to send people on a frenzy. And thus came the ps4 is losing steam/the gap is closing comments. Good lord almighty it is a miracle *it'shappening.gif* the gap is shrinking. What people decide to forget is that MS had a $100 price cut. Nintendo had its biggest gun out, perhaps the biggest game the wii u will ever get. And what did Sony have? No games and dryness. However the wii u and X1 still could not outsell despite having MK8 and a $100 price cut. PS4 is outselling them both despite not having any blockbuster games or price cuts. People forget that sony has yet to move a peon while the others have already moved their kings and queens.

3. The ps4 is only 2 million ahead:

This one is simple. The wii U has been out for what 1 year and 8 months or around that. The X1 released a week later in the USA and 1 week earlier in Europe than the PS4. In wii u's case the wii u had to be millions ( not only what I think it was about 4 million)  ahead by the time the ps4 released. In X1's case I don't know they had the games and the future of entertainment in kinect.

I agree with your points. To add onto the first point, look no further than PS4's August lineup (look up in GribbleGrunger's thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=187082&page=1# ) and tell me if PS4 has "no games". That's 10 games (or 11 for you Europeans since you guys get TLOU: R at the beginning of August).

For the 2nd point, just compare PS3's first June to PS4's first June. The PS3 didn't even crack 100k while the PS4 did it with ease. In fact, it sold nearly 3x as its predecessor. Doesn't look like it's losing steam at all and again, it's getting quite a few games next month.

For the 3rd point, well.... I'm also a Nintendo gamer, so I want the Wii U to be successful, too.
