Because it didn't, it's still MK8 boosting the sales and that won't last forever. It probably will drop below XOne in the coming weeks and come September it won't be able to beat it for a long time, if ever(atleast for a full month).

Do you still count on third partys to move x1? Prepare for disapointment. After each exclusive realease the wii u will double the x1 on every realease week.

MK8 is Wii-U's biggest title, and not just so far but likely ever to hit the system. The only really big game that's coming this year for Wii-U is SSB, and that releases on 3DS first taking away some momentum from the Wii-U version. By the time that launches we will be in the holiday season.

Every major game of this year will then have released on Xbox One, and the system will have released in new markets.

If Wii-U beats Xbox One it might do it with SSB launch but even that is unlikely and it wouldn't be more than one or two weeks.

MK8 might be the biggest title, I personally belive is smash bros, but do you really belive that takes away from the other titles. As I said in previous post, the games comming to the wii u might not be the biggest, but they are unique to this generation. The ps4 or x1 dont have any hack and slash like bayoneta, no japanese centric rpg like hyrule wariors, I dont think any corky puzzles like captain toad, skylanders will be dominant on the wii u. fans of thouse types of games will only be satisfied on the wii u.

Thouse new markets will boost sales on the first week of realease only, non of thouse contrys are interested in the xbox brand, wich is why they have not realesed on thouse areas.

Like it was said before, the people interested in third party titles that have no consoles yet wont choose an x1 to play them. They will sell well to existen owners but that is it. Who is going to choose the inferior version of a game and future games for the same price, actually higher if you consider that live is $10 more than ps+. And if you think thouse exclusives will appeal to people who dont already have the x1, then prepare for dissapointment, but you most likely are used to it if your an xbox fan.

The only way the x1 has a chance of selling is depending on the deals that MS has planed for the hollidays, if they are week, x1 will sell no more the 2m by the end of the year. The wii u I expect to sell at least 3.5m.
