So yea it looks like Crytek is really a sinking ship. And a nice get for id and a good sign that they will continue to push their own tech.

Yep, megatextures is a cool idea, but it didn't worked as it should have had. And man!, that's a really surprise there. Noone will be able to say that the man replacing Carmack doesn't know what to do, if Crytek is known for anything is for its the visuals they get with their engines.
A big win for id, a big and very worrisome lose for Crytek.
