Oh yeah man, I am totally sure people looking to buy a system today will take into account what a console USED to cost. I mean, I bet even with the WiiU there are people who think "you know, right now I can get a WiiU plus NSMBWiiU/LuigiU for only $300, but Nintendo used to sell the system for $350 just with Nintendoland LOL! Fuck that!". Also, you seem to believe there is this massive sales difference in games between the two consoles. AFAIK the Xbone still has a higher software attach rate. The area where games will see a significant sales boost on PS4 are games that sell well in areas where the PS4 has a huge userbase advantage, or games where Sony buys marketing and exclusive content deals. Other than that the sales difference in 3rd party games have been around half a million or less for a majority of titles, which when you consider PS4 has a userbase almost double in size, that's not that big of an accomplishment. So back to the argument. The idea that publishers won't make these deals with the platform where the game sells less on, has already been debunked multiple times this gen and last gen as well. Games sold more on 360 but publishers still made PS3 deals. Games looked better on 360 but people still bought the PS3 versions, too. And PS3 deals didn't stop games from selling on 360. So there's no risk for publishers, only sweet, sweet rewards. I hope that helps. I already said Amiibo will be good for Nintendo. LOL @ those numbers though. So I haven't checked Skylanders or Infinity sales, but I guess they must sell in the tens of millions? Oh my bad, just over 4 million across 7 different platforms for the latest Skylander. Wow. I am glad WD didn't sell well on Xbone. It was a misleading game with blatant lies for marketing and more importantly the game is just not fun. You're also talking about a game where Sony paid for massive marketing deals and content deals. Idk why you would be shocked the game sold better on PS4, or that the Xbox 360 version sold better than a next gen version. It also outsold both next gen versions of NBA 2k14. I guess this means 3rd party sales are also doomed on PS4? LOL. It's ok dude, we get it. You don't think much of Halo in terms of market power anymore. We already tackled this. You admit Nintendo has nothing that will directly combat Halo but has a multitude of titles that can gang up on it and beat it. Cool beans. Of course, this logic works directly against you because you're in one hand saying Nintendo has these amazing titles coming this year that Xbone can't match, but in the other hand saying it will take multiple of these titles just to match Halo, and then in a freak mutant 3rd hand you're also claiming Halo is not that big a deal anymore. Which begs the question, why would Nintendo then need multiple titles to match it? The best part of the post is you claiming great 3rd party games can be an advantage for PS4, but not Xbone. When the discussion is Xbone versus Wii U. Of course, lets just ignore your opinion that people won't buy the Xbone for multiplats, because it's laughably incorrect but not worth arguing about. These multiplats don't just disappear just because the PS4 also has them. What if someone is picking between an Xbone and a WiiU? The slew of great 3rd party games coming to Xbone just somehow don't count? When you need to stack the deck like that, take a hint. |
That was a long reply to reapet the same thing. Atach rate might be great for x1 but its still selling less than ps4. and its not that third partys dont sell the x1 is just that if you are only interested in the big AAA thir party titles then there is no way you would get an x1 for them since the ps4 plays them better and will probably have exclusive content. And the reason the ps3 had deals with publishers is that the ps3 sold well WW unlike the x1 whos 60% of sales where in the US the rest of the world preferd it and the devs where from thous countrys that preferd the ps3. The only people who would pick betwen an x1 or wiiu are people who already have a ps4, so there is no way they would pick an x1 since its just an inferior version of a ps4 with less upcoming games, but the wii u is a breath of fresh air with almost all games so diferent than anything on ps4 or x1. So in this case no, big third party AAA wont count at all.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
