Yes.
It's even laughable suggesting MS deserves any kind of credit for rushing a product into the market that -to put it mildly- did not fall within expected fail rates of the consumer electronics industry and should have been revoked.
And of course making up a date for the PS3 surpassing the Xbox 360 in LTD sales. Chartz puts this early 2013, in accordance with official Sony claims that the PS3 had in fact shipped more consoles than the 360.
The PS3 surpassed the 360 way before the 7th gen consoles were released and it was selling better (WW) throughout its life time.
