thats something we have talked about and are not really sure of. there are literally thousands upon thousands of prank call videos on youtube, and with views in the five to six digit range, and i doubt that all of them have written consent from the so called 'victims.' but still, what does written consent do for us?

for the most part, as far as i know, it is illegal to record any phone calls with out letting everyone involved know before hand. privacy laws. http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/recording-phone-calls-and-conversations

thanks for the information.
question though, you know there are a bunch of gamestop prank calls with a million views, do you really think that they are getting permission from these guys who got hella pissed off before they put it on their youtube channel? lol. if not, maybe its just one of those laws that dont get taken very seriously. either way, im going to read your link and we will do some research on it.

its taken seriously. but someone has to make a complaint. and you just dont know if those people are getting permission after the fact. I dont watch prank call videos, just not funny to me. just passing along info.
