Quite the opposite.  The price cut has given the One a vastly better result than than the Wii U has ever seen recently and that is without any big hitters (many to come for Xone though) and the Wii U has MK8 out already.  Also Wii U 3rd party has completetly dried up and the 50mil plus casuals have defected to the tablet market.  XOne wiil have way more X360 converters than the Wii U wiil have of current wii users.  plenty people still use the 360....whilst Wii consoles sit on cabintes collecting dust. It makes sense when you think about it.

The price cut did less for the XB1 than MK8 did for the Wii U. The Wii U was on life support with a DNR before MK8 release and nothing good was said about it. The XB1 gad a much higher baseline than the Wii U so it really didn't see that big a jump. Also, it's a 5 week NPD, so this month had an extra week's worth of sales. Looking at it with all that in mind, the gains from the price cut were abysmal.
