there is no hollow victory, i was either right or wrong.

ps4's marketshare has declined after this month. i thought i made that abundantly clear. you have yet to say why the comparison is unrealistic. the numbers are close, and either side can be right.. i dont see how its unrealistic.

its ok to just admit that you missed something or that you were wrong. i do it all the time. youre not going to die.

It's hollow because it lacks significance. Had you been battling an army, I'd have thought differently.

Next, you made your point about the PS4's decline "abundantly clear", but it's also fruitless. Things decline the closer we get to Summer, + Summer. That's nothing new. However, your comparison makes it seem like there's some permanent decline for one + a permanent uptick for the others (combined), which I find unrealistic in the current situation (in addition to the comparsion of to the act comparing multiple machines versus one in the first place - which I've already explained to you).

When you can show me where I am wrong, I'll peacefully bow out of this. Thus far, you've not accomplished that feat, despite your claims to the contrary.

ok, i see more of the reason why youre saying its unrealistic. you have not explained what you meant by that at all yet, so i was left guessing.

im talking about a relative decline. marketshare is all relative, so it doesnt matter if summer is a slow period for console sales. so im not really sure that has anything to do with it. reasons for the increase in wii u and xbone are obvious, and the decline for ps4 is obvious too.. ps4 has done virtually nothing, as most people have pointed out, while ms and ninty made moves. are junes numbers indicative for the rest of the year? thats the question here. im willing to be they are. we all know mario kart and many other nintendo games have been titles with huge legs. this is going to sustain sales. also keep in mind that a HUGE amount of people are waiting for the wii u. people dont want to pay 300 dollars for this machine, but they want one. im not sure the same can be said for ps4. very rarely do you hear about people waiting it out to buy one. xbox one, im willing to bet this price cut and master chief collection are going to keep sales at a point that, when combined with wii u, will be more than ps4. sony will get a huge boost from destiny while nobody else benefits from that, we all know this. will that plus anything else they have keep them above 50% marketshare? im not certain, but i am willing to bet that no, its not; there's too much good shit on the other side for me to see this happening.

the point that we are arguing, however, has nothing to do with anything i just wrote. the argument we are having is whether or not its a fair comparison, and that point, i believe you should bow out of because again, as ive stated, the numbers are close enough (57% before this month for ps4) to where either side can be right. its not like somebody is saying xbone+ps4 vs wii u, thats clearly an unrealistic comparison.

and i reread your response to me for good measure, and you did mention the 2 to 1 console comparison which i dont understand why you have a problem with it.. it has happened every generation since microsoft entered the market. ps2 oldsold the other two combined handily, as did wii for a good length of time, and ps4 has done it most of the time up to this point. its something people discuss. there is nothing wrong with it.
