its not ridiculous at all. ps4 came out of the gate selling great, and people predicted SECOND COMING OF THE PS2. my thread was a response to that. why is that so difficult for people to understand? ps4 is doing bette, yes we know that, but the argument is whether or not its going to get 50%+ marketshare? so far this year, it has, and my thread was saying that the gap is closing, and its going to dip. THATS the discussion. its not about downplaying PS4, its about making a prediction based on what we see going on in the industry. 

and youre kind of making my point saying a lot of people didnt agree with me. most people didnt, and they said WAIT FOR NPD, its going to have 50%+. well, it didnt, just like i said.

It's a hollow victory for you, though. All it proves it one extreme beat out another. No real consequence comes out of you being right about 50+% marketshare. You'd also be wrong when continuing to claim a decline for the PS4. It's "falling" compared to what? The holidays? Months just after? Well, that goes without saying, for any and all machines that came before and will release after.

So, yes, comparing two machines to one is ridiculous, if you want to have a realistic discussion about the current state of the industry. 

i made a prediction. thats it. isnt that what people do on this site? thats what people have been doing here since its inception. ps4 is selling well enough to where its not a ridiculous comparison. it would be ridiculous to compare xbone+ps4 against wii u because wii u sells nowhere close to 50% marketshare. 

youre taking too much of a fan stance at this. its not a knock at sony. and its not a way to make ms/nintendo look pathetic. its just a prediction, thats it. people happened to disagree with it, and said wait for npd. now the data was here, and my side of the prediction (at least so far) is correct. its not a shallow victory. i correctly predicted and they didnt. i dont know how to make this any more clear than i already have.
