Nah, they wouldn't have been able to overcome the PS's appeal over the Xbox in EU or Japan. I will concede that US would be a MUCH closer race, but EU and Japan still would have been lost causes for the One. Mainly because the One wouldn't have the 360's advantages, i.e. launching a year early in Japan and a year and a half early in EU, while also being much cheaper than the PS3.
