Woah! I wake up to a pretty good number for X1! You guys need to calm on your doom before numbers are confirmed.

No one's really dooming the One as far as the US goes.  It's its performance outside of the US that is the concern.  Though, there is the fact that this is a 5 week month compared to April's 4 weeks (I say April, since May was lower than it would have normally been because of the early price cut announcement.)  In April, the One sold 115K, which is ~29K per week.  This month was 5 weeks and the One sold 197K, which is ~39K per week.  Now, like I said, May was unusually low because of the announcement of the price cut, so June also represents pent up demand for the One from last month.  So, let's just say the One would have also sold 115K in May, if there had been no announcement until E3, which is 38K more than what it did sell.  Take that away from this month and you get 159K, which would make it ~32K a week, or a mere 3K a week boost.  In other words, the boost wasn't that great and July isn't going to be pretty.

The numbers for this month also pretty much negate those who believe the One has really any shot at overtaking the PS4 in the US.  The PS4 really had nothing significant this month, yet outsold the One by ~70K, which saw get a 5K a week boost.  This is with both of them being the same price, something that many MS fans were saying was the PS4's only advantage.  Guess they were wrong.
