I will probably be lost in the shuffle here but this is kind of the way the industry has to head to fill gaps since its becoming harder and harder to turn a profit on titles(therefore you see less titles). TLOU made its money well over but Sony knows that PS4 owners will buy/rebuy(which is where the majority of the sales will come from) this game due to lack of games to play. This helps fund other games that may not be as successful/turn a profit.

The "AAA" model of gaming isnt sustainable as it creates too many losses. Last gen was sustainable for 3rd parties as companies could take money from low risk/high profit Wii titles(dance party!) and deal with the losses of their AAA efforts. Now there is no cash cow to milk they cant release as many titles throughout the year and Sony/MS+3rd parties cant make the massive libraries they have in the past.

I dont like efforts like TR:DE/TLOU:R/GTA5 because it makes companies feel secure about releasing more and more cheap ports of last gen. I would rather have no game come out instead of filling gaps with cheap rehashes. People will vote with their dollar and I feel TLOU/GTA and Halo collection(though it is not nearly as bad of a deal) will do great, selling millions showing companies that what we really want this gen is slightly better looking versions of last gen games.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
