Sony is looking at remastering PS3 titles the same way Disney remasters movies

In other words: We envy the huge profits they reap from putting minimal effort into remaking/rebooting classics. Why put money into script and story writers, when you can just take an few years old product and add bloom!

But on a more serious note, this is simply the next step of Sony's new stance of Expect Less From Us: Expect Less AAA -> More Indies to Fill the Gap! -> Remasters!

I guess now that they have a comfortable lead this generation they feel they don't need to try as hard.

 

I fail to see how this equates to "not trying as hard". Pls explain.
