Whether GTA4 looks better on the ps3 or the 360 doesn't matter at all. The 360 version will most probably sell more as the 360 has a larger install base. Add in the DLC on the 360 and its game over. And I don't think some stupid home room is as good as more mission within the game etc. Although I admit I don't know what the DLC will be, I can't wait to find out as I'm sure microsoft will be telling everyone soon enough.
