Sony is looking at remastering PS3 titles the same way Disney remasters movies

Now, a remake is building a game for the current platform from the ground up. It's much more expensive, and the risk is much, much higher than a remaster.

And yes, I believe there will be more remasters than remakes. Just want it to be highlighted that remakes do in fact happen at least a few times a year, for whatever reason.

Secondly, it's only natural that a new gen will see 'ports'. The same thing happened last gen, and the gen before it.

However, one main difference though with Disney, is their "vault" strategy. Disney doesn't just remaster. That's only 50% of the strategy. I don't see how Sony could successfully complete the disney strategy currently, so it's kind of dumb for them to use Dis as an example.

You seem to be under the impression that I'm against remasters/ports/whatever. I'm not. I was just pointing out that there will be a lot more remasters than remakes, that's all. I'm fine with that.

Also, I'm not the one using this as an example, so I'm not sure why you're telling me that my example is dumb. The CEO of SCE used Disney as an example, not me.
