Hum... No. When you play it on a 1080p TV, your 720p resolution is stretched to fill your screen. In the same way, the 720p shot of the game was stretched to fit the size of the 1080p shot. Which gives a proper representation of what the game would look like on same size screens.
Unless you play on a tiny ass TV, the jump from 720p to 1080p will look just as big as between those two screenshots.
