This topic is ridiculous. Titles like COD, AC and other big games barely do Wii U numbers on PC. Most PC gamers play Candy Crush or maybe titles like WoW, LoL, Diablo and a few other key franchises. The market for those playing traditional console-type games is niche at best. The article talking about gaming hardware revenues was dubious at best.
PC gaming is fantastic, but it's split between the super hardcore crowd who will pay for premium visuals, like to MOD games, etc., and at the other extreme the super casual crowd who play only Bejeweled or Candy Crush. The bulk of gaming dollars, those customers who buy most of the COD's and Batmans released each year, are on consoles, by far.
