When you're paying less for 8 games than you would pay for the 4 you want separately, you're getting a great deal. That's quite often the case anymore. Sales through the Humble Bundle are absurd, and there are always some sales going on somewhere. And now that Steam has set off a summer/winter sale across all gaming sites, they all wind up cutting prices ridiculously low to compete.
Example; Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater were on sale during the last Steam Sale. I wanted to get Battleblock Theater, but I got both for less than the price of Battleblock Theater alone ($2.23 spent for both of them).
