Thing is service wise I see no difference between Live and PS+. PS+ has always added more value then Live, we may not have 100% of all the Live features but it's pretty damn close and the two services are very much alike.

To have Sony suddenly switch content delivery methods mid gen would be suicide and wishful thinking on Sony haters... It's NOT going to happen!

Things do change, and Sony could go full on streaming next gen and that's fine that is still night and day different from what MS tried to do... You do need to be always online to stream but nobody bitches about Netflix or Hulu...

However to depend on one content delivery method I don't really see happening. I doubt 3rd parties would go for it and the red tape and licencing that would need to take place would be a nightmare! To soon even for next gen. You may say sure but they are doing it now with PS3 games... Thing is that gen is on it's way out and it will be a way for dev's to squeeze more money out of old games! Talking about new games is a completely different beast.

Say what you will about Sony, they are not stupid, arrogant yes... but not stupid. They know that in order to go full streaming the internet infrastructure needs to be 100% in place I mean my limit your install base? Rural ISP's suck and are often limited and handcuff you with data caps, even some urban ISP's are this way. Netflix uses a lot of bandwidth and so will PSnow.

Again, what MS tried to do with always online is completely different and not even comparable to an optional service that Sony has yet to release to the public.
