I know pcs use tvs, i'm not that much of an idiot. But usually the home's tv is in the center of the living room, not on a desk. So you need an other screen for the computer.

No you do not!  That is your mistake.  I have used the same TV for my PC and console for many years, and I cannot think of one friend of mine who doesn't use either 1 monitor or 1 TV for both systems.  If you like to waste money, fine, but don't assume we all do.
