I haven't played Shadowfall, but calling the Vita game "spectacular" isn't exactly correct. For a portable FPS, it's probably the best one available, but that doesn't make it good. There are better FPS and TPS titles rated worse that were better experiences experiences. Killzone Mercenary gained its overrated praise becausue it's a portable title that works as an FPS rather than actually being good. One console/pc game that is bashed as being one of the worst fps in existence, far from it, was Duke Nukem Forever, a game that was far and away better than Mercenary, even if it's not terribly good.
If Mercenary was on consoles instead of a portable system, the critics would have destroyed the game.
