On the first day of my PS4, I connected Vita to PS4, and never used it again.
It works well, if perhaps your girlfriend really wants to watch Gray's Anatomy or Dr. Oz on your only TV, then you can put headphones in your Vita and play MLB The Show.
If your TV situation is normal, you will never use it.
