Even though there's a debate around 1080p/60fps nowadays, most people don't care so much and just want the games to look cool. And consoles games look very cool. So, as long as you have to say "PC is cheaper, all you have to do is bla bla bla bla" you added a lot of explanations that the market don't want to think about. While we, the niche market, care about such details, people just want something to spend their time or let their children entertained. |
PCs are actually GAINING in popularity, not losing. And they are easier to build than evver due to PC Partpicker, or you can have a webssite build it for you for just a small premium.
