WiiU isn't exactly selling like hotcakes either, so if there is still a decent market for home consoles in Japan then the market is still wide open for one or other to dominate. The only thing is, as you say, Wii U already has Japanese interest games, but we're yet to see the effect of such games on PS4 while PS3 continues to sell ok.
