Not completely accurate. A lot of people still buy desktops. People just don't upgrade those nearly as much as they do tablets and notebooks, which become outdated much faster. Also, families may have multiple tablets or notebooks while only one desktop, which they feel less inclined to consistently upgrade due to their notebooks or tablets.
