In all fairness Netherlands shouldve won on 1974 but the fault for not winning is entirely on the players. Its well documented that they went to party and celebrating like if they ahd won the world cup before the final match took place, wich evidently didnt do them any good. The team was vastly superior to any other team that World Cup, if they had kept theyre head in the game the whole way Netherlands would have 1 star. In 1978 the team was good but wasnt that good anymore and 2010 Spain was the better team.

Ps: wth does the Dallas Cowboys power rankings have to do with the Wold Cup ?

Bullshit. In 1974 Poland had by far the best team. Netherlands wouldn't stand a chance. How can you even claim that they were the best if there were two teams with a better record? Germany and Poland both had 6 wins and 1 loss in the tournament, Dutch were 5-1-1. This was the Polish team what won the Olympic gold medal just two years earlier and in the tournament took down Sweden, which you could only draw against. If it wasn't for that bloody waterball game with the Germans (and Sepp Maier - German goalkeeper - having the game of his life), we'd easily have the star from 1974...

As for today. I think Germany is the better team and plays much better football, definately more pleasing to the eye. But Argentina reminds me of old Germany or Greece from the legendary Euro - a team that forces the opponent to play its shitty football. They play bad, but drag you down and force you to play their football and not yours. And the moment you play their crappy football, they beat you with their experience at playing shitty football. That's exactly what they did in the semifinals to Netherlands and the Dutch were helpless. We'll see if Germany is dominant enough to overcome this, but I expect their defence to have an extreemely hard time with all these fast and agile Argentinians. Especially since Di Maria is back. I also hope to see more of Enzo Perez, who plays great. Being a Barcelona fan I can't help myself but to support Argentina. It's gonna be a tough game and both teams stand a chance - I hope people here won't make the same mistake again looking down at Argentina, as you did before the semifinal, claiming the Dutch had it in the bag. This is a good and dangerous team, that seems aware of its strenghts and weaknesses and knows what kind of football it wants to play and is capable of executing. That is always very dangerous. So...

Argentyna 2:1 Niemcy

Though I'm not sure if I want to see the World Champion playing such shitty football, especially coming out of such a beautifully offensive tournament.

@Brazil - I've never thought I'd live to see the day when the Polish national team plays on the same level as the Brazilian one. In fact, at this point even we would stand a chance against them (we drew with Germany a couple weeks ago... ). Happy days, one childhood dream just came true!
