Here's hoping that that Gamescom rumour at least has some value to it. I'm currently thinking about going to Gamescom and a few nice surprises would certainly sweeten the deal.
I really don't know if I want to go there, though. I live like 30 minutes by car away from the fair site, but it'll probably be a last minute decision if it is worth it or not. I don't know if any of you have ever been at Gamescom, but let me tell you that it's mostly not a pleasant experience. You feel like you're suffocating, and you can't walk anywhere without bumping into something sweaty. Last time I was there was in 2010, and I left at around 2 pm after getting my picture with Charles Martinet, which was the only thing that made it worthwhile.
And last year I went to Cologne during Gamescom but didn't go to Gamescom. Even that was horrible. The train I was supposed to take had to be evacuated because it was too full. Ugh.
