This is a fait point, but in many ways this is also the reason PC gaming is so attractive to some (Like me). Yes you have to look up fixes once in a blue moon, but then again you can also look up user-created enhancments that make games and programs work better than they ever would on a console.
Also PC's work so much better now than they used to, and honestly I have had to look up fixes for console games as well...
