Nothing to do with mazochism. It can simply have more replayability of more content to wade through. Doesn't mean i enjoy it more than a game I played less of. I played +500 hours of L4D1 and i enjoyed several 5 hour indies more than that game. It's like the difference between going out to the bar casually with friends every weekend and going to a foreign country having a really fantastic one-time holiday. I know which one i remember and which one i forget..

One could question why would you go out with friends every weekend if you do not enjoy the activity, but I would not want to go personal? Again what you tried to define is the most memorable but not THE BEST.
