Recently, there´s been confirmation that Lords of the Fallen (the Dark Souls like game) is also coming out in October: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/lords-of-the-fallen-launching-october-on-ps4-and-x/1100-6420990/
There are so many other games coming out in that month already, it feels like some games are sent to die.
I don´t pretend to know more than the people who work in the industry, but it doesn´t seem like a good idea.
One of my most anticipated games is Shinji Mikami´s The Evil Within, which was originally scheduled to come out next month, but it´s been delayed till...you guessed it, October.They said they needed more time to iron out the kinks, and I´m all for that, but delaying it till the same exact month that´ll be seeing so many other releases..can´t imagine it improves the chances of the game selling better than in another period of the year.
