Not that I don't agree that PS4 will remain #1 globally...   But to say the die has been cast when the Xbox One isn't available globally is interesting.  With the shift in focus, and lower price before the "worldwide" release of Xbox One in September(When it goes from being in just 13 markets to around 40 - still about 15 less then PS4) I think they are in a better position to make up so ground. 

We all know that PlayStation is more of a "global" brand for console gaming. So X1 likely won't surpass the PS4. The X360 had NA and UK to help fill that global gap, which right now is in PS4's favor. But again.. just 8 months in..  8 MONTHS PEOPLE.. NOT EVEN A YEAR..  we can't be saying anything is set in stone..

That's mainly because the claim that the One isn't available globally is a misconception, a hollow claim if you will.  There's an absurd amount of data suggesting/confirming that the One is available in any country to those who want it (whether MS has officially released in that country or not).  A very simple way to know this is that you have XB1 exclusive games, ranking on charts in countries where the One hasn't even launched yet.  South Africa, for example, had Titanfall (XB1), rank on their sales charts, when it launched.

And it's even more easily accessible in European/Asian territories, because many of those retailers spread the hardware around, especially when it's just sitting on shelves.

Sorry. The average consumer is NOT buying them from out of their country. Yes. Hardcore gamers would do this. But the real PUSH in those 20+ markets has NOT happened. No adversiting etc. The causal gamer does NOT even know the X1 exists yet. The general buying public are not "tech savvy" or very "smart" when it comes to new releases.  EVEN here in the USA.. I talk to people all the time who own PS3/X360/Wii and have NO clue that the Wii U, X1, and PS4 even EXIST!
