What you are failing to realize though is that what came before those shaped everything that came after. The PS* probably wouldn't have existed without Atari....Nintendo....blah blah blah

Obviously, Atari probably wouldn't have existed without George Washington.

We can go further back but not to anything that has direct correlation with the home console market ecsept for Magnovox  which still exist...mostly. Aside from PC which has become it's own thing really and is seperate from home consoles.
