So, in other words, people shouldn't waste their money on games that might end being mediocre. Agreed. But who are we to tell them what to do with their money? Also, I'm sure every developer wants to make the best game they can (some times they don't because of lack of time or funds) in order to turn them into franchises or make more money thanks to good word of mouth. The games you've tried ended up being bad because the developer was bad. Not because they got enough money and called it a day.
