Why do you think they only get $16 per game, anyway? It should be closer to $30. So that's about 15m to break even, if the $500m budget is true.


Tomb raider broke even with an estimated budget of 100 million with 6 million sales. (15-16 $ per game)

At least half the cost of the game goes to distribution, and console manufacturers take their part too.
