Nah, it's always been like this. The English always think they have the best team and are strong favorites to win a World Cup, and eventually make up thousand of excuses for each consecutive failure.

At least I don't see Dutch people making up excuses for theirs.


Actually, if you watch Brazil vs. Germany you can clearly see that the germans are holding it back most of the game out of pity, they could have scored at leat 10 times if they really tried.
