I generally agree with the premise that three consoles is more competition than the market can support. People can point to last gen, but only one company ended up making a profit over the course of the generation.

However, as the least diversified company and the best differentiated, Nintendo is not likely to be the competitor who taps out. They have gained far more from the market than their competition and would stand to lose far more by surrendering.
