*EDIT: Forgot to mentioned the 10$ if you buy destiny for x1. That is the fourth desperate move by MS is the 7-8 months of launch. Nintendo did this very first desperate move (to my knowledge is the first)in almost 2 years and you think nintendo is more desperate? ok sure. And FYI you cannot include the 60$ for mario cart in the discount since every wiiu delux includes a game. I admit I'm forcing it a bit here, but its worth noting nontheless. |
Just to respond to this part that you added after I quoted you.
You are being selective of what counts for desperate. Let's look at the desperation of Nintendo.
- Drop the price of their 32 GB bundle by $50
- 3DS also gets a $80 price cut after sales are down, has to give free games to early adopters to smooth things over
- Consoles are almost all bundled with a game. ( Wind Waker, New Super Mario Wii U/Luigi U, Zombi U, MK8, NintendoLand, Skylanders,
- Free accessories and free game with MK8 purchase, not just for the console, but MK 8 in store, just the game and get a free game.
- Free Four Swords Adventures
- Free Pokemon X or Y when you register your 3DS and a game
- Actually a lot more free games given away, something you don't need to do unless you need to boost sales.
These must all be desperate to, right? A free game is more desperate than $10 off a new release, something many stores do anyway.
