Sony and MS don't only copy Nintendo :/ That's not even a question of debate, it's downright wrong. All three of them come up with new ideas and all three copy the others, like most industries.
Nintendo certainly come up with the most "new" ideas, but they are also the slowest to accept progress. All in all none of the big three have pushed the industry forwards more than the other in the last 10 - 15 years.
