Nuh uh. Nintendo kept trying new things after that. Motion controls and a tablet controlers are innovative. They may noy have been the first to think of those, but they were the first to succesfully implement and use those features. Sony and MS can't do that. Sony had the eye toy first but that was unsuccesful. 

And the gamepad is innovative too cause neither MS or Sony could make one that was as good as Nintendo's. MS made a smartglass app to make it seem like a tablet type controller but it wasn't any good. And now Sony is selling the Vita as a controller for the PS4.
