I think what he is saying is Sony could not tout how great BR is, and then have a game not fit. I don't think that's why it was short though.
I think it was short because they decided to act the entire game. They wanted a game that played like a movie, and for that to really work, it can't be 100 hours of play.
HS was exactly what it should have been. A fast fun ride. It didn't need BR to be made. HS is not representative of what's good about BR. Uncharted, Resistance 2, MGS, are better games to talk about with respect to delivery medium.
