Do people still care about Trophies / Achievements ?

Yes definitely. I enjoy getting them. I don't try too hard to get every achievement and usually give up really fast if the achievements are too hard or take too long. If a game has easy achievements but I don't like the game, I won't bother completing it.
And I still love playing Nintendo games even though they don't have any system similar to achievements and trophies. I just wish Nintendo would implement them in their games too.
