Anyway, it must have been an incredible stressful process. They really couldn't afford another PS3 launch situation, but they also needed to remain competitive. In the end they played it safe, which fortunately it appears is what the market wanted right now.


I was following semiaccurate about ps4 a lot in 2012. There were also hinting 2 GB or 4 GB ram for PS4. But thanks to Microsofts competition Sony took the right move.

MS had zero to do with the 8 GB, Sony at the time had no idea what MS were going to do, it was all developer input and architects.
