psnow has a clear reason for requiring the internet, the game is running on sony's hardware and streamed to the consumer. psnow has a clear benefit, the game can be played immediatly without waiting for a lengthy digital download to complete and the game can be played even without buying playstation hardware.
ms's cloud processing, i'm just going to say the same to you that i will to phaedruss,... i'll believe the benefit when i see it. the reason is clear but the benefit not so much. explaining an improvement in graphics is going to be almost impossible to explain to a consumer. playing a game without hardware is a very tangible benefit for psnow. extra special destruction is going to be extraordinarily hard to explain. it's going to be even harder to explain if cloud processing only closes the graphics gap between xbone and ps4,.. it literally needs to blow ps4 games out of the water or consumers will just view as xbox specific drm. as you saw with the xbox reveal,.. the way in which something is explain to the consumer is very important. if you have to teach the benefit to your consumer than the benefit isn't "real"
