It's not in the best seller top 100 for either June nor July on Amazon. What's the point of the wishlist anyway? Aside from maybe people taking a wait and see approach with things.

I think that's definitely it. People badly want an HD Zelda, but a good proportion of fans (including myself) want to know even more about Hyrule Warriors before spending our own money. Nonetheless, even if the game does turn out to be mediocre, I think I'd get insanely excited if someone gave me this game as a gift. I don't think I'm alone in that camp. Therefore: wishlisted!

And aside from Destiny or Call of Duty, What preorders really reach into the best sellers list anyway?

I for one consider the idea of what people *want* to buy/have more intriguing than what's already been pre-ordered  (though pre-order stats are nonetheless very interesting and important). Some games are marketed to greater incentivize preorders with exclusive beta access, dlc, other free stuff etc -- but those are things that are ultimately trivial to what makes a game worth buying/playing.

I think we at VGC get a little to locked into pre-order stats for games sometimes and too hung up on the kind of outcomes they might infer. Not to get too off-topic, but necessary to make my point: there's roughly 30k Watch Dogs Wii U pre orders -- will that sell as well as any other game with 30k preorders right  now that releases in the fall?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
