What can happen is that one person holds a thread and see who qualifies as a member of the channel. After he gets all the people he needs he messages them an email and password to the channel so that they all have access to the channel.

Which would then run the risk of someone changing the password, stealing the channel, monatizing all of the videos, and then depositing all of the money into his or her account. There is a lot of trust involved.

Who said anything about money? Every week we can have password updates. It wong consist of many people though. If someone wants to steal a channel, why would they put time and effort into it to end up stealing it? Its not like it will be famous overnight.
